This one-of-a-kind Larimer and Aquamarine Cabochon Multi-Drop Statement Necklace is handmade by Andrea Li in her Denver studio. It drops in multiple layers from large link sterling silver chains and a sterling silver extender chain, letting the cluster fall across the collarbone in motion. Necklace length is 16″ with an extra 7″ of extender chain; the pendant drop is 3″.
The stones are: teardrop-shaped Larimer, moss aquamarine, AAA gem-quality Swiss blue topaz, white topaz, rainbow moonstone, blue aquamarine, Cat’s eye, smooth oval rare blue aquamarine cabochons, and gem-quality high-luster pearls. That range of blue is not a coincidence. Larimer is the only stone in the world with this specific Caribbean blue, and the aquamarine cabochons carry a depth that faceted stones can’t. Placing them together with the moonstone and pearl creates a tonal gradient that shifts with light, reads as a water collection, and holds differently depending on what you wear it with.
Every connection in this necklace is cold-made: wire-wrapped, hand-bail, no heat near the stones. That is the only way to build a cluster with this many stone types and keep the composition honest. Heat would compromise the cabochons and the softer pieces; cold connection is what lets the whole thing move as one piece rather than a collection of separate parts.
