The Tourmaline Cluster Pendant Necklace is handmade by Andrea Li in her Denver studio: a pendant built around a tourmaline at its center, held in a hand-placed cluster of sapphires and freshwater pearls, finished with 24k gold vermeil petals and metal accents. Every element is assembled with 14K gold-filled headpins, wire, oval link chain, and clasp. Total length 9 1/2 inches.
The 24k gold vermeil petals are what set this piece apart from a straightforward cluster. They sit between the stones the way light would sit between leaves - not decorative noise, but structural framing that gives the tourmalines somewhere to glow into.
