This one-of-a-kind Imperial Jasper and Gemstone Necklace is handmade by Andrea Li in her Denver studio: a centerpiece of imperial jasper surrounded by a hand-placed cluster of rose quartz, fancy cut whiskey topaz, AAA quality Oregon Sunstone, spinel, grey moonstone, and freshwater pearl, hanging from a 14k solid gold chain on 14k gold filled wire with 24k gold vermeil over sterling peacock pearl accents.
The palette moves from the warm, pictorial swirls of the imperial jasper through the champagne-to-copper fire of the Oregon Sunstone, grounded by the soft lavender of rose quartz and the pewter flash of grey moonstone. Total pendant length is 3″; total necklace length is 21″. Built once and never repeated, from the Jewel Box collection, made for a collector who wants something genuinely unrepeatable.
Every stone is cold-connected, assembled entirely with wire and never with heat. That is not an aesthetic choice: stone-to-stone cluster work means each link is load-bearing, and heat or mechanical pressure at a setting point can fracture a drilled stone. I build each connection by hand, fitting the wire through each drilled hole so the stone sits secure without ever being stressed. That is what lets a piece this layered wear daily without putting any single stone at risk.
