This statement bib necklace is hand-fabricated by Andrea Li in her Denver studio — an architectural collar built from three layers of 12-gauge 14k gold-filled wire shaped into a choker frame. Three long prehnite gemstones sourced at the Tucson Gem Show hang in a vertical cascade from the center, flanked by three tiers of wire that resolve at a singular point anchored by AAA-quality large faceted green amethyst briolettes.
Andrea hand-fabricated the cage setting to custom-fit the three prehnite stones, which she'd been holding onto specifically because she knew they'd look fierce in a vertical orientation. The construction is architectural — the wire layers create visual depth while the prehnite drops create movement. The choker sits at 15½ inches with the bib extending 5½ inches, so the piece commands the neckline without swinging.
