These one-of-a-kind Gemstone Chandelier Earrings are handmade by Andrea Li: tiered drops of citrine, amethyst, peridot and freshwater pearl on sterling silver throughout, measuring 3 1/2'' total length.
Every stone is cold-connected, assembled with wire and never with heat. Gemstone drops like these are typically drilled at their narrowest, most brittle point, so introducing heat at that site would risk fracturing the stone. Building cold protects each gem and keeps the drop secure without putting any stone under pressure. The citrine, amethyst and peridot are hand-selected and placed to flow across the tiers; the freshwater pearl closes the composition with its quieter, softer lustre against the faceted stones.
