GEMSTONE FIRE STARTER BRACELET

GEMSTONE FIRE STARTER BRACELET
This rainbow pyrite statement cuff was hand-built by Andrea Li in her Denver studio using custom 3-D printed mercabas designed by a friend as the structural foundation. Andrea built her signature gemstone clustering around them, using rainbow pyrite as the primary stone — a gemstone she fell in love with the moment she spotted a one-of-a-kind stand from one of her favorite vendors at the Tucson Gem Show.
The cuff layers rainbow pyrite with nugget aquamarines, London blue topaz, Swiss blue topaz, green amethyst, pink amethyst, Oregon sunstone, labradorite, citrine, mystic spinel, and more — all wire-wrapped onto a brass backing with 14k gold-filled wire. Hand-bailed chains cascade down the sides, each anchored by a London blue topaz drop that adds weight to keep the chains hanging straight. The combination of 3-D printed geometry and organic gemstone clustering pushes into territory Andrea hadn't explored before — futuristic and organic at the same time.
This piece has found its home.

What is rainbow pyrite?
Can I commission one like this?
Rainbow Pyrite
Naturally occuring and rare. The most valuable shimmer with all colors of the rainbow, including gold, green, pink and blue. It is famed for its rainbow-like iridescence, caused by differential refraction and diffraction of light.
