This Statement Gold Two Finger Two Pearl Illusion Ring is handmade by Andrea Li in her Denver studio: a sculptural open frame that spans two fingers, with two freshwater pearls positioned to appear suspended in midair. A 14k gold-filled open circle holds an 8.4mm freshwater pearl on one side; a gilded arch carries the structure across to a 10mm freshwater pearl on the other. The pearls seem to float between your fingers rather than sit on them.

Andrea built this ring to bring the same design ambition she applies to statement necklaces and cuffs to something as intimate as a ring. The pearl pegs are precision-soldered into the open gold frame so each pearl lands exactly where the eye does not expect it. Up close, it reads as jewelry that was thought through. From across the room, it reads as sculpture.

Because pearls are soft, around 2.5 to 3 on the Mohs scale, they ask for a little care on a piece your hands wear all day: put the ring on last after lotion and perfume, take it off first. The 14k gold-filled open circle and gilded arch do the structural work so the pearls never take the pressure of the design.

How do you wear this ring?

Slide it onto two adjacent fingers — the open circle with the smaller pearl sits on one finger while the arch and larger pearl rest on the next. It spans the space between your fingers, creating a floating illusion. Most people wear it on the ring and middle finger, but it works on any two adjacent fingers.

How does sizing work?

Available in sizes 6, 7, and 8. Because this is a two-finger open design rather than a traditional band, sizing is approximate — the ring sits across two fingers rather than wrapping one. If you're between sizes, Andrea recommends sizing up for comfort. Contact her directly if you need help choosing.

Are the pearls secure?

Yes. Both freshwater pearls are mounted on precision-soldered pegs — the same technique Andrea uses across her Aglow collection. The pearls are permanently set into the gold-filled frame, not glued. They won't loosen with normal wear.

How do I care for this piece?

Remove before washing hands or applying lotion — pearls are softer than most gemstones. Clean gently with a damp cloth. Store in an airtight bag with anti-tarnish strips to protect the gold-filled frame. Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners. This ring arrives in a branded gift box.
