Last Light Pink Druzy Stiletto Earrings

Last Light Pink Druzy Stiletto Earrings
Last Light Earrings are one-of-a-kind pink druzy earrings, hand-built in 14k gold-filled by Andrea Li in her Denver studio, and the simplest piece in the Second Light collection.
An ear post is soldered directly to a length of elongated 14k gold-filled paperclip chain, with a single flat pink druzy wired at the bottom of each. Four materials, and nothing else. Everything around them in this collection is a cluster; these are a line and a stone.
They are the companion to the Last Light necklace, and the pairing is not a matter of matching palette. They are made of the same things. The chain is the same elongated paperclip that runs down both sides of the necklace, and the druzy is the same pink druzy that appears in its cluster. The necklace suspends its stone between two parallel chains; the earrings are a single chain each, the same linear idea reduced.
Druzy is a crust of tiny crystals grown across a stone's surface, which is why it reads as sugar or frost rather than as a polished face. On a long clean drop it is the only place the light breaks.
They swing. Worn with hair up they read as a line down the neck, and that length is the whole design. Part of the Second Light collection.
How Length is Measured
For Drop and Dangle Earrings: Measure straight down from the top of the hook or post: 3 ¾ inches

From the bench
An ear post soldered straight to elongated paperclip chain, with one flat pink druzy at the end. Four materials and nothing else.
It is the same chain that runs down both sides of the Last Light necklace and the same pink druzy that sits in its cluster, so this pair belongs to that piece specifically.
Druzy is a crust of tiny crystals grown across a stone's surface, which is why it reads as sugar rather than as a polished face.
Why a pair is never two copies| Last Light Earrings | Typical alternative | |
|---|---|---|
| Form | An ear post soldered directly to chain, with one stone at the end and nothing between | A cluster, or a stone on a short finding |
| Stone | A single flat pink druzy, a crust of tiny crystals rather than a polished face | A faceted or cabbed single stone |
| Metal | Elongated 14k gold-filled paperclip chain and gold-filled posts | Gold-plated base metal |
| Pairs with | The Last Light necklace, sharing both the chain and the druzy, not just a palette | Coordinated by color alone |
| Construction | One of a kind, hand-built in Denver; built once, never repeated | Mass-produced and repeated |
What is druzy?
A crust of very fine crystals grown across the surface of a stone. It reads as sugar or frost rather than as a polished face, and it catches light in many small points instead of one reflection.
How long are they?
They are a long drop, built on elongated paperclip chain so the line reads at length. Worn with hair up they fall as a line down the neck.
Can I wear them alone?
Yes. They are built to stand on their own, and pair with the Last Light necklace for anyone who wants the set.
Are these one of a kind?
Yes. Built once in Andrea Li's Denver studio and never repeated.
