Alpenglow Pale Amethyst Link Bracelet

Alpenglow Pale Amethyst Link Bracelet
The Alpenglow Bracelet is a one-of-a-kind pale amethyst link bracelet, hand-fabricated in 14k gold-filled by Andrea Li in her Denver studio. It finishes at 7 inches and closes with a 24k gold vermeil double-strand clasp, chosen so it goes on and comes off easily with one hand.
Seven link shapes were formed by hand on a jig from 12-gauge 14k gold-filled wire, soldered closed and polished, then drilled with four holes each so every shape could be pinned to the one beside it. Twenty-eight holes in all, each of which had to align with its neighbor closely enough to pass a head pin straight through. The links are joined with 10-gauge 14k gold-filled head pins and 14k gold-filled jump rings.
Every link frames a single stone. The center holds a full cluster of kunzite, pale amethyst, morganite, pink and purple sapphires and Japanese Akoya keshi pearls, with a lavender keshi pearl vining up one side. The two shapes flanking it each hold a lavender keshi pearl, the two rounder ovals each hold a large pale amethyst, and the end shapes each hold a simple-cut aquamarine. Sapphire clusters above and below every stone set it so it will not rotate on its wire.
Standard Bracelet Lengths
Women's standard: 7 inches (17.8 cm) is the most common and size for the length of this bracelet
Bracelet Width: At its widest point, 2 inches
It wears well on a bare wrist or against a pushed-back sleeve, and it coordinates with the Alpenglow Pink Kunzite Necklace. Part of the Second Light Collection.
Built once, and it will not be repeated.

From the bench
Seven links, hand-formed on the same jig and from the same 12-gauge 14k gold-filled wire as the Alpenglow necklace, joined with 10-gauge head pins so every connection is genuinely strong.
It finishes at 7 inches, and the spacing between the seven links was worked out during assembly specifically to land there.
The 24k gold vermeil double-strand clasp was chosen so the bracelet goes on and comes off with one hand.
Why seven links took three days to build| Alpenglow Bracelet | Typical alternative | |

What is pale amethyst?
Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, colored by traces of iron and natural irradiation, sitting at 7 on the Mohs hardness scale. Pale amethyst is amethyst at the light end of that range. The same stone is sold under vendor names like lavender quartz.
How long is the bracelet?
It finishes at 7 inches, a standard bracelet length, and the spacing between the seven links was worked out during assembly to land exactly there. It closes with a 24k gold vermeil double-strand clasp.
Is this bracelet one of a kind?
Yes. It was built once and will not be repeated. Every link was bent, soldered, polished and drilled by hand in Andrea Li's Denver studio, and the stones were chosen to fit these particular shapes.
Does it pair with the necklace?
Yes. The Alpenglow Pink Kunzite Necklace is its companion, formed on the same bending jig from the same 12-gauge 14k gold-filled wire. The bracelet leads with pale amethyst and the necklace with pink kunzite, so they share a hand without competing.
